A posthumous birth is a birth of a child after the death of a parent. A person born in these circumstances is called a posthumous child or a posthumously born person.
 Most instances of posthumous birth involve the birth of a child after 
the death of its father, but the term also is applied to infants 
delivered after the death of the mother, usually by caesarean section
.
Combinations for Posthumous Birth
- According to Dr B V Raman - Sun is in Dusthana [3,6,8,12] and Lagna is in Pisces or Leo Dwadasamsha (D-12), Native would be posthumous child. 
 
- According to BPHS  "the  
Sun should be in any of Trik Bhava (6,8 or 12) at the same time lord of  
6th should be in 5th, lord of 8th in 9th and lord of 12th in ascendant,Native would be posthumous child. 
 
- While "Jaataka Parijat" states  that the
  Sun be placed in any of 'Dusthana' from natal ascendant or  natal Moon
  at the same time the Sun or the Moon be placed in the  Dawadamsha of 
Leo  or Pisces,Native would be posthumous child. 
 
- Rahu, Saturn and the Mars placed together in any house, native
will born after the death of the father.
 
- Birth in day-time and the Sun is aspected by the Mars or the birth
is in night-time and the Venus is being aspected by the Mars, indicates death
of father before the native's birth. 
 
- Sun and Venus posited in moveable signs and aspected /associated
with Mars,native will born after the death of the father.
 
- Birth in day-time and the Saturn and Mars placed together in a
moveable sign, the father will die in a foreign land before the birth of the native.
 
- Rahu, Venus and the Saturn placed together in 2nd house; father will die before the birth of the native.
